AMBULATORY CARE

The Goldfarb Ambulatory Care Center is named in memory of Dr. Jay Goldfarb.

Dr. Goldfarb realized fulfillment of his professional calling at the Shattuck Hospital. His advocacy for quality care and his dedication to serving others with compassion and consideration exemplify the highest purpose of this hospital.

Goldfarb Primary Care Clinic
Recognizing that primary care is the gateway to overall good health, we have established a comprehensive primary care program. While the emphasis of this clinic is on prevention, because of the population served, the clinic staff has developed expertise in management of patients with complicated medical problems (many of whom have combination of hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol and emphysema). The clinic is open 8am to 5pm, however the medical staff is accessible on an on-call basis 24 hours a day.

The program is supported by a wide variety of specialists and ancillary services, all on site, to provide speedy and convenient one-stop medical care. The Primary Care Coordinator can be reached at 617-971-3669.

Goldfarb Behavioral Health Clinic
Our Behavioral Health Team of mental health professionals and nurses provide expert care to help adults with mental health and/or substance abuse problems. Services include: mental health and substance abuse evaluations, individual and group therapy, couple and family counseling, medication management and on-going medical screenings. We are a Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership program with standing clinic hours and 24-hour a day, on-call coverage for urgent and emergency care.

In addition, an outreach program to group homes for DMH clients is provided directly at the home site to provide a continuum of care.

The Behavioral Health Clinic director can be reached at 617-971-3760.
